Mindful movement

The integration of mind and body is an important component of mindfulness as it realigns our minds with our bodies and our bodies with our minds. The aim is to assimilate these two parts of ourselves and in this chapter it is through our bodies and our breathing.

A mountain in the wilderness

This short activity that follows, called The Mountain, may remind you, or help you to recognise for the first time, what it is like to feel a sense of stability and firmness in the world no matter how off balance you may be feeling at this point. By going through it on a regular basis it can help you to feel resilient and strong.
