Over the course of more than four decades as a nurse, I have come to learn how important authenticity is in the nursing environment. I decided to explore specifically how I could use authenticity to improve the care of patients and communities, promote healthy lifestyles, commit more to my value system, include diversity, be a better advocate and establish more harmony between body, mind and spirit within myself and my patients.
