Creating new edges and filling faces

The next step is to add any missing edges we'll need for our outline. The steps to make new edges are as follows:

  1. In Edit Mode, click on the Vertex Select icon and right-click on the first vertex of your new edge. Holding down the Shift key, right-click on the second vertex.
  2. Hit F on the keyboard to make a new edge. Alternatively, you could also use the Mesh | Faces | Make Edge/Face menu option:

Repeat with any other missing edges. At the end of this process, the template is really starting to take shape and should be recognizable:
