The importance of education
Education is certainly an extremely important issue and it is one of the most relevant sections in the Government’s BIM report. It is crucial that:
- Mainstream practice educates itself so as not to be misled by some of the issues that are illustrated below.
- The purchaser needs to be educated in how to obtain proper BIM advantage through appropriate procurement documentation and legal expression.
- Higher education can play its part by integrating BIM principles into the curriculum for professional education and training.
