In organizing this book, I struggled with whether to talk about your Internet image before your live one, since it’s probably more likely today that someone will check you out online before meeting you in person. This includes media outlets seeking experts to interview, conference planners seeking speakers, nonprofits seeking board members, awards panels seeking winners, clients, potential clients, bosses, colleagues, investors, and anyone else you want to impress.
