My Journey

What compels anyone to write a book? It takes a significant amount of time and focus, and if the subject matter of the book is autobiographical in nature, it takes a willingness to share with readers personal things about yourself that are private and have never been shared in public.

I am fortunate to have experienced four careers: first, rising up through PQ Corporation and eventually becoming its chief executive officer; second, as a board member of public, private, private equity, trade association, and nonprofit boards; third, currently as a columnist on leadership, and corporate governance, and fourth, as an author of this book that will help others be successful by sharing my observations and experiences.
