Part 4. Using external services
This final part opens the doors of your application to eternal services such as Slack, IFTTT, and GitHub, giving you an idea of how to integrate external services with Lambda functions and event-driven applications, and securely manage their credentials using AWS KMS. Both directions will be considered: reaching out to external services or being called by them. A few architectural patterns, such as webhooks and log monitors, are discussed in depth.
