A solid understanding of the redundancy options and the recommended design and deployment practices of Cisco Unified Communications (UC) can provide availability at equal or higher levels to a traditional voice network.
This lesson introduces the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) deployment models that provide a level of redundancy. The different redundancy models explored in this chapter can be applied to the deployment models that allow fault tolerance during network and device outages.
