1. Per the Oxford English Dictionary, 2nd edition, one definition of sensibility is the “[p]ower or faculty of feeling, capacity of sensation and emotion as distinguished from cognition or will.” We use it here as the general subject of that feeling—“sensitiveness to, keen sense of something.”
