Now that we have discussed the Western musical system, basic music theory, song structure and lyrical content, we can begin to get to the music theory that discusses more advanced techniques. These concepts can further enhance a song and build upon what is already a fairly solid structure. A producer implementing some of these techniques in the right places can give a song that extra 10 per cent – an added sense of wow factor.
