Now that we have covered the accompaniment, let’s move on to look at arguably the most important part of any song: the vocals.
Although the technical aspects of vocal recording are important, what really makes or breaks a recording is the producer/engineer’s ability to get the best performance out of the singer, both in terms of emotional conviction and technical precision. Before we talk in depth about how to get the singer to deliver the goods, let’s get some of the engineering aspects out of the way.
