Learning On the Job
On-the-job training occurs every day in every organization. Employees are new to the work, the work itself changes, technology changes, company policies change, and a dozen other reasons.
Most people are not born coaches, but it is a skill that everyone can learn. On-the-job training will continue to be an important delivery mechanism in many organizations. It requires good coaching skills and solid talent development skills to back it up. It is an expansive undertaking, but when done right, it can’t be beat for a new employee experience.
