How Is the Organization Positioned in the Market?

When you walk into a retail drug store, you will find many brands of shampoo. One is for dry hair, one is for oily hair, one is for color-treated hair, one is for thick hair, one is for thinning hair, one is for curly hair, one is for straight hair. One has argon oil, another has shea oil, one is for dandruff, one is for men. The same holds true for body wash. One is for dry skin, one for oily skin, one for breakout-prone skin, and on and on. This is positioning, products that want a uniqueness and appeal to targeted audiences. They want to be known differently by the laws of positioning (see “Positioning” by Trout and Ries).
