Creative and Ethical Considerations

In Chapter 4, we looked at ways in which those who draw upon third-party audio and visual material, whether created yesterday or in the early 1900s, might evaluate the value and credibility of that material. In this chapter, we look at some of the creative choices and ethical decisions involved when media makers seek to incorporate third-party materials into their own original work, dramatic or documentary.
