2. DFSS Deployment
Some would say that there are two separate types of experts and types of expertise involved in Design for Six Sigma (DFSS): experts in the DFSS tools and methods (“technical experts”), and experts in DFSS deployment (“deployment experts”). However, virtually anyone involved in DFSS will encounter some resistance to change, and preparation for the deployment and change management aspects are important to enable success. While other chapters will deal with some of the more technical aspects such as the DFSS tools and methods, this chapter and the next chapter will delve into the somewhat arcane and mysterious art of DFSS deployment.
