Ethical Conduct and Practices

It is rare to find the subject of ethics in leadership training today. In fact, like technical skills, most professional leadership trainers presume that organizations have addressed or have trained on these topics at some point in the tenure of any leader. Yet, the most critical component of a leader’s credibility is her or his ethical conduct and practices, as many will discover, when leaders manage with strong principles, their staff will have high regard and faithfulness for their leaders. So, what defines ethics? Why is it necessary to include ethics in professional development? In what areas are ethics practical and relevant?
