Technical Skills

Leaders in the workforce are required to have certain technical proficiencies to lead others in the organization, department, and/or teams. These technical proficiencies are necessary to ensure the assigned job(s) are completed properly and also ensure that leaders can teach and develop others in the team and/or the organization.

Generally, technical skills are specialized knowledge and functional understandings of a specific occupation. Occupations such as physicians, electricians, engineers, and more. But technical skills can also be an important requirement of a specific job, such as customer service in retail positions or certain computer knowledge in administrative positions.
