Leadership Has to Have a Beginning

With my first book On the Edge of Effectiveness, I introduced a concept for organizations to develop their own leadership training by focusing on four fundamental core competencies (Altawil 2019). It was entitled the Four Fundamental Approach (FFA) to leadership design. This concept originated during my work in the manufacturing industry, in which most of the supervisors, managers, and other leaders were promoted or hired to leadership roles without prior leadership training or extensive experience.
