Managing Containerized Applications
Abstract
Containerized applications represent a major shift in the evolution of information technology (IT). Building on the tenets of virtualization, containerization is often referred to as “lightweight virtualization” because of its ability to run applications on a variety of hosts, reduce memory requirements, increase ease of migration and use of applications, enable faster deployment, and back up and free up server capacity.
