Summary
This chapter has covered a large amount of information about SQL. The first section described the various SQL statements that are used to create database objects, including tables, views, and indexes. The second section described data manipulation, including the SELECT, INSERT, DELETE, and UPDATE statements. Finally, features that are more suited to application development were covered at the end of the chapter.
All of the examples in this chapter can be found on the book's Web site. The best way to learn how to use SQL with Apache Derby is to try running the examples yourself and experimenting with different SQL statements.
