The tradition of drawn animation is an art form that has only developed in this century. Film has been the vehicle for this great technology. Traditionally, an animator needed a large team of artists to produce any moving image. Things have changed a great deal with software like Flash allowing you to manage your assets as well as integrate both picture and editorial tools within it.
