VERISTIC FUZZY SETS OF TRUTHOODS*
It should be recalled that starting with the discussion of Philosophical Grounding and through out the text, we have identified two distinct treatments in fuzzy set theory: (i) Descriptive fuzzy sets and (ii) Veristic fuzzy sets, i.e., fuzzy sets of truthoods.
Most of the previous chapters have dealt with essentially Descriptive fuzzy sets and the formation of Interval-Valued Type 2 fuzzy sets generated by the combination of two Type 1 fuzzy sets.
