Conclusions

We live in a world of economic and financial uncertainty. There is an increasing need for accountability, transparency, efficiency, and competitiveness in the commercial world, borne out to be a series of tools and guidance to this end, from Porter’s Five Forces model through the processes of Lean Management, Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma. However, it has become clear that not much attention is paid to the principles of Management Cybernetics. Cybernetics as a whole appears to have been relegated to a backroom status in the face of the concepts of Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma.
