Aarhus Convention
A United Nations convention adopted in Aarhus, Denmark on 25 June 1998. It establishes public rights regarding access to information, participation in decision-making and access to justice in environmental matters. The EC became party to this convention in May 2005.
Aggregation
When public sector purchasers within one body or across several contracting authorities combine their requirements to facilitate cost reductions and other scale-related efficiencies.
