Abstract

A multicopter Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) was made by combinations of several components and sensors. Multicopter UAV can be classified into different systems like airframe, propulsion system, and command and control system. This system was made of several components and sensors in a very complex way due to their matching and compatibility with each other. So, the developer should know each and every component of multicopter UAV in depth. The knowledge of flying multicopter UAV and working of other components should be strong while developing UAV; otherwise, the design and assembling of UAV leads to poor performance or even fail design. Configuration of UAV includes the size and shape of UAV and the proper matching of BLDC motors and propellers. Therefore, it is essential to have a deep knowledge about each and every component and its designing and selection requirements. This chapter gives all answer regarding basic introduction to UAV, its several systems and components, and its design related basic principle.
