One of the most practical and reliable method for estimating the solar radiation is based on remote sensing because remote sensing observations are superior to station-based observations for acquiring the features of both regional and global coverages (Liang, 2004). Many algorithms have been developed to calculate the amount of solar radiation at surface; however, few global land surface radiation products exist due to the limited applicability of the current algorithms.
