What’s New for Styles in Word 2007
The concept of styles in Word is the same as ever—a named collection of formatting commands that you can apply all at once, as needed, throughout your document. Word still has four types of styles—character, paragraph, list, and table—as well as a Styles pane for accessing styles, and New Style and Modify Style dialog boxes. Once you get past the basics, however, there’s a lot that’s new and it’s very good news.
New tools for managing styles, including additions to the Styles pane (formerly called the Styles And Formatting task pane), as well as the Manage Styles dialog box and the Style Inspector, can simplify your work significantly.
