I am a big believer in getting students and readers actually working with the technology they are attempting to learn as soon as possible Therefore, in this chapter we are going to just dive right in and write a few simple scripts with JavaScript. The idea is to get you working with JavaScript right away. The sooner you feel comfortable with the basics, the better.
