18.4 Cauchy’s Integral Formulas
To define an integral of a complex function f, we start with f defined along some curve C or contour in the complex plane. We will see in this chapter that the definition of a complex integral, its properties, and the method of evaluation are quite similar to those of a real line integral in the plane (Section 9.8).
