This chapter takes off where Chapter 14, “Editing Portraits,” ends. This chapter looks at adjusting skin tones and smoothing skin.
When retouching photos of people, it’s common to find color problems with skin. Tan lines, tattoos, skin tonal changes, and skin discoloration are different kinds of retouching tasks much different than what is covered in Chapter 14. In this chapter, I offer some techniques for retouching skin after you have completed basic retouching for brightness/contrast, removal of blemishes, and improving facial features.
