Illustrator gives you, the print designer, micro control over how type looks. You can choose from thousands of Adobe fonts bundled at no additional cost with your Creative Cloud license. You can fine-tune how those fonts are displayed, changing the size and the vertical and horizontal spacing, and applying styles such as boldface, italic, underline, and strikethrough. And you can control how blocks of text interact with other objects, including flowing text around artwork or placing text inside shapes and paths.
