Chapter Four. Creating PDF Files in Distiller and Acrobat
Only a limited number of programs have a PDFMaker installed with Acrobat 8, and not all programs have internal PDF-generating options for export. In many applications—illustration programs, for example—you can generate other file formats that can then be processed using Acrobat Distiller 8. Distiller is a separate program installed with the Acrobat 8 installation process.
Most programs allow printing, and if you can print a file, you can create a PDF file using the Adobe PDF printer, as you learned in Chapter 3.
