Introduction
Peter Drucker wrote a detailed letter to Bob Buford dated September 22, 1986, following a Drucker Summit Conference sponsored by Buford at Estes Park, Colorado. The letter contains principles of effectiveness and a personal work plan for Bob himself. In the letter Drucker reviews many aspects of executives’ personal effectiveness and applies them directly to Bob’s work. This letter was pivotal in Bob’s work plan for the rest of his life and contains many lessons we can use in our own lives and work.
