There are several different types of IPSec VPN configurations. Some of the designs discussed in this chapter are currently attainable, while others only exist in the standards. The standards provide the means to create exquisite designs, but the equipment that is currently available does not support some of the concepts. This chapter discusses all the design possibilities, and the particular designs that are not yet available will become obvious very early.
