The purpose of this qualitative research was to explore the leadership journey of African American male executives in U.S. corporations. Specifically, the goal of this research was to hear directly, through semi-structured interviews, from African American males about their leadership journeys and their perceptions regarding factors that shaped them. This research focused on the experiences of 30 African American male executives in U.S. corporations. This chapter provides a summary of the major findings from this research.
