In traditional Scrum, planning for the Sprint typically consists of two seamless back-to-back meetings referred to as the Sprint Planning meeting (Schwaber 2004). The two meetings have distinct purposes and actions. In the first one, the Product Owners review the highest-priority items in the Product Backlog with the Scrum Team, and they decide how much work they can do within the Sprint based on their velocity in the previous Sprints.
