Strategic Alignment

The goal of strategic alignment in the context of library management is to connect the library’s strategic organizational needs with the structure, teams, and resources necessary within the library itself or its parent organization, to operate as efficiently as possible. Just like any functioning system, any flaw within the library’s structure or that of its parent entity can compromise its success. Libraries that fail to appreciate the importance of strategic alignment or do not know how to improve it can face significant risks.
