THIS CHAPTER COVERS THE ANDROID MOBILE operating system and related devices. I first start off discussing what Android actually is and I cover some basic concepts concerning Android cell phones. Next, I discuss the system requirements of the main program that is currently used to develop Android applications which is called Android Studio. I then give a quick start guide tour of the key features of Android Studio you will need to use in order to create your own programs.
