Making jewelry is part craft, part art, and a big part fun. These lessons use inexpensive materials and simple techniques to blend fine art inspiration with something you can make to give as a special gift or to wear yourself. It takes a little practice to get used to handling some of the tools and the tiny beads, but it’s exciting to have a unique bracelet or new pair of earrings at the end of the session!

When working with groups of children, I would suggest starting with paper beads, which use their hands as the main tool, and moving on to the wire bending after they have built up their confidence.
