Understanding Modeling and Texturing
Modeling and texturing are two of the primary jobs within the field of 3D animation and are closely tied to one another. Modeling is the act of creating a 3D object. Texturing is applying the color and surface properties to the model. Every industry that uses 3D animation must start with the creation of a model, which then serves as the foundation for all the other steps in the production pipeline. Texturing is the stage after a model is created, and the application of the texture depends on the geometry type used to create the model.
