2D Game Development from Concept to Release

Part I of this book introduced you to the basics of game development by helping you take your first steps with a variety of tools including Unity, Blender, GIMP, Audacity, and MuseScore. You created a prototype of a 2D game with the working title “Bouncing Donuts.” You decided to shelve that game and move on to another project.

You will, once again, use the same software tools from Part I to build a much larger game with animated sprites, tilemaps, particle systems and, of course, sound and music. You can skim ahead in this book to get a flavor of what it’ll look like. But, try not to cheat too much.
