15-Minute Painting: Effortless Watercolor

Birds

Once you learn the basics, you can apply them to many different varieties of birds. We will paint two types of birds, European robins and a mountain bluebird.

Supplies

• Watercolor paper (block or secured on board)
• Medium round and flat brushes
• Small round brush
• Watercolor paints
• Colors: cerulean blue, burnt sienna, permanent rose, cadmium yellow, transparent earth orange, black lake, titanium white
• Palette for mixing paints
• Spray bottle (optional)
• Jar of water
• Tissue or paper towels for cleanup
