20. Summarizes Effectively

Any sales presentation ever, what’s your role? To open and to close. What do they share in common for skillsets? Summary. It’s a short attention span world out there (as shown by the fact I’m writing 1 to 2 pages about 100 skills and incorporating over 25 different bestselling books) and you’re the one who needs to keep it on track. How? Well, for starters, pay attention. Every word said, every gesture made; every hair curled, fingernail bit, toe tapped—you’re responsible. Exhausting? Yes. But, it is your job.

Subject matter experts (SMEs) are there to go into detail about a client’s issues and their SMEs are there to probe, question, and most of all, showoff. ...
