It’s hard to believe it’s been 17 years since the first edition of the Polar Bear book released — in that time, we’ve all witnessed great change in the world of design. We’re celebrating the release of the fourth edition of “Information Architecture for the Web and Beyond,” by Louis Rosenfeld, Peter Morville, and Jorge Arango, with a contest.

Submit a haiku, limerick, sketch, short poem (200 words maximum), or short video (maximum of two minutes) expressing what the Polar Bear book has meant to you on your journey. Submit entries using this form. One creative person will win a free gold pass to O’Reilly’s Design Conference at Fort Mason in January 2016.
Submission deadline is November 16, 2015, and we’ll announce the winner on November 30th.
We’ll share the winning submission and some of our other favorites on our site, through our social channels, and at the O’Reilly Design Conference.
