A brief history of Up-to-Date: O’Reilly ran an Up-to-Date publishing pilot from April 2008-May 2009. The idea was to publish physical books on beta releases in a format that could be updated as further releases and changes were made. Our pilot title in this format was Essential Silverlight 2, by Christian Wenz (now available as a fully updated eBook).
We are no longer publishing in this format; we thank everybody who participated in the pilot as we continue to innovate in the publishing space.
