Business Intelligence in Microsoft® SharePoint® 2010 (Microsoft Press, $44.99 USD) helps you explore several BI application services available in SharePoint 2010 and Microsoft SQL Server® 2008 R2. You'll learn each technology with step-by-step instructions, and determine which ones work best in specific BI scenarios—whether you're a SharePoint administrator, SQL Server developer, or business analyst.

"For four years I've been listening to customers ask for content that gives a comprehensive view of Microsoft business intelligence [BI] and that helps organize and discuss the tools available in SharePoint 2010 and SQL Server 2008 R2," says lead author Norm Warren.

The analyst wants to see how trusted data is surfaced to analyst tools like Excel, a PerformancePoint dashboard, PowerPivot for Excel, Visio, and more.
