To minimize an open window or restore a minimized window, keep the Shift key pressed while clicking the minimize button or the window icon in the Dock.
You will see the same window opening/closing effect as usual but in a very slow way, that will let you admire the complexity of the algorithm, and the smoothness of the animation.
It is not useful to anything else, but it's funny to see it.
