Peter Kahrel

Bio

Peter Kahrel, born 1 May 1953 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Trained as a linguist (MA and PhD) at the University of Amsterdam. Has lived in the UK since 1994, working as a typesetter, editor, copy-editor, and indexer for publishers in the UK, the Netherlands, and Germany, preparing for the press both books and journals. Until recently, taught part-time at the Linguistics Dept. at Lancaster University. Has been programming InDesign with JavaScript since 2003 (see www.kahrel.plus.com), and since 2010 has worked at Typefi.
