Library Journal Names Top
Consumer Health Books

Library Journal has named its list of top Consumer Health titles for the year 2001.

The Patient-Centered Guides title Childhood Brain & Spinal Cord Tumors was named to this group.

Nancy Keene is the editor of Childhood Brain & Spinal Cord Tumors. This spring, two other books for parents of children with cancer in the series are also being completely updated:

- Childhood Leukemia in a 3rd Edition, May 20

- Childhood Cancer (for solid-tumor cancers) in a 2nd Edition, July

Nancy is author and co-author of these titles.

If you are searching for the list of 2001 books on the Library Journal website, the article is titled "Consumer Health Supplement- Best Consumer Health Books 2001".

Last year's list of the Best of 2000 named three of our titles: Childhood Cancer Survivors, Organ Transplants, and Making Informed Medical Decisions.

Congratulations to our authors.

Editorial preview: One of the other books on the list is a new edition of The Women's Heart Book by Frederick Pashkow & Charlotte Libov. Charlotte is now working on a book on women's heart attack recovery, for Patient-Centered Guides.
