Following are the changes made in the 8/00 reprint.


Here's the key to the markup:

        [page-number]: serious technical mistake

(30) Seven lines from bottom, "ause" has been changed to "use".


(34) Table 2-4, used to read:

	"Append text at beginning of line" 

it now reads:

	"Append text at end of line"


(40) "ignores punctuation"

has been changed to:

"includes punctuation as part of word"


(66) line 11, "and" has been put in italics for emphasis.


(75) In the example, "skip a change" has been moved down to the next line.


(86) Eleven lines up, "This commands" has been changed to "This command".


(87) In example 2, the following parenthetical remark has been added:

(The delimiter colons and the ex command colon are separate entities.)


(115) "that" has been deleted in the sixth line from the bottom.


(117) In line 11, "the" has been inserted before "termcap".


(129) In line 9, "noticable" has been changed to noticeable".


(135) 11 lines up, "to either" has been changed to "either to".


(139) In line 3, "from either" has been changed to "either from".


(140) In lines 3 and 5, "repitition" has been changed to "repetition".


(141) In line 9, "or question marks" has been changed to
"or in question marks".


(146) 2 lines up, "completion," has been changed to "completion;".


(162) 11 lines up (not counting footnote lines), "or . command"
    has been changed to "or the . command".


(224) line 3, "nd also" has been changed to "and also".


(226) line 5, "laying" has been changed to "lying".
